Vespa P125X (1982) – Restoration in Perlenzian Color

In our workshop, we fully restored a Vespa P125X from 1982. The project included wiring harness repair, rust treatment, chassis welding, and a new paint job in Perlenzian (RAL 5025). The goal was to bring this classic scooter back to the road in its original appearance.

Analysis / Initial Condition

The Vespa had defective wiring, fuses, battery, and flasher relay. Rust was present on the underbody, front wheel cover, and footboards. The overall condition made restoration more than overdue.

Work / Actions Taken
  • Complete disassembly into all components
  • Welding of underbody, footboards, and fastened parts
  • Sealed or riveted sheet metal joints according to Piaggio specifications
  • Selection and application of new Perlenzian paint (RAL 5025)
  • Reassembly including wiring harness, shift, brake, and clutch cables
  • Installation of suspension components, aluminum cast wheels, and shock absorbers
  • Finishing details: trims, badges, emblems, footboards, and other accessories
