Short Description / Project Description
This LML Star 125 4T underwent a technical overhaul focused on the ignition system and carburetor. The goal was to get the LML running again and optimize it so that it could successfully pass the upcoming MFK inspection.
Analysis / Initial Condition
The LML showed no spark or signs of life. Initial tests revealed no voltage in the system, a faulty stator, and other defective electrical components. The carburetor was also heavily soiled and showed signs of a poor fuel mixture. Overall, the vehicle was technically neglected, but provided a solid basis for restoration.
Work / Actions Taken
First, the ignition system was completely checked. The stator, which showed incorrect readings, was replaced with a new part. Then, the ignition voltage was adjusted and tested.
The carburetor was disassembled, cleaned, and overhauled, including replacement of gaskets and fine adjustment of idle and mixture.
Finally, a general technical inspection was carried out, including lighting, brakes, and tires, to optimally prepare the vehicle for the MFK inspection.
Conclusion
After completion of the work, the LML Star now runs reliably, smoothly, and starts easily. With a renewed ignition system, refurbished carburetor, and checked mechanics, it is ready for the official inspection – and for many more trouble-free kilometers on the road.
