• Do I need to make an appointment, or can I just drop by? +

  For maintenance, repairs and especially work on vintage motorcycles, we recommend booking an appointment in advance so that we can set aside enough time for your vehicle. We are happy to discuss short-notice matters, such as a quick diagnosis, over the phone.

• How often should a motorcycle be serviced? (Vintage bikes and youngtimers) +

  Maintenance and service intervals for classic motorcycles vary widely. First and foremost, we recommend following the manufacturer's specifications (where available). Regardless of mileage, since periods of standing still also take their toll on wear parts such as tires, brake fluid and rubber seals, we generally recommend an annual check-up before the start of the season.

• What does a (seasonal) inspection with you include? +

  A (seasonal) inspection and preparation for the next riding season includes, among other things, an oil change, checks of the brakes, tires, chain or drivetrain, lighting and battery, as well as a visual inspection of the frame and suspension. If needed, we extend the scope to include a valve clearance check and a carburetor and ignition inspection.

• My motorcycle won't start anymore – what can I do? +

  Common causes include a flat or faulty battery, carburetors clogged by old fuel, defective spark plugs or poor contacts in the electrical system. Bring your motorcycle in for a diagnosis – especially after a long period of standing (e.g. over the winter), this is a very common issue.

• Can I use modern fuel in my vintage motorcycle? +

  In many older motorcycles, modern fuel can damage seals, fuel lines and carburetor diaphragms, as its higher ethanol content is more aggressive toward older materials. We are happy to advise you on whether any components on your model should be replaced, and which ones.

• Do you offer motorcycle transport? +

  Motorcycle transport is available both through us and through our partners for motorcycle transport and imports. Currently, transport carried out by us is only possible within Switzerland. We are happy to arrange European imports and/or transport through our partners.

• Can you make my imported or historic motorcycle roadworthy for registration? +

  Yes, we support you with the technical preparation for individual approvals and registration of imported or long-decommissioned vehicles, including any necessary modifications (e.g. lighting, indicators, noise and emission levels, where applicable).

• How much does a repair cost? +

  Since every vehicle and its condition are unique, we provide a transparent cost estimate after an initial inspection. We charge fair hourly rates and communicate costs precisely in advance.

• Problems after a repair? +

  We will look into the problem together with you and find a solution, usually free of charge if it is related to the original repair. It may be a follow-up issue that was not detectable beforehand, or something that genuinely did not go optimally during our repair. Either way, you can count on our fairness: if the cause lies in our work, we will of course fix the problem free of charge under warranty. If it is a new, unrelated issue, we will discuss the costs transparently with you before carrying out any work.

• What are our hourly rates? +

  • European pre-war: 155 CHF/Hour
  • European post-war: 135 CHF/Hour
  • US pre-war: 165 CHF/Hour
  • US post-war: 145 CHF/Hour
