Short Description / Project Description
A Yamaha TDM 900 (model RN08) was brought to our workshop for repair after the rims were damaged and the motorcycle failed the MFK inspection. The goal was to restore the wheel set and ensure full riding stability.
Analysis / Initial Condition
During the initial inspection, both the front and rear rims showed significant damage that visibly and noticeably affected handling. Due to the cast alloy design, repair was not a viable option, making complete replacement necessary. Wear was also detected on the wheel bearings.
Work / Actions Taken
The new rims were precisely measured, high-quality powder-coated, fitted with new tires, and balanced. Defective wheel bearings were replaced. The sprocket and brake discs were installed with new OEM-grade bolts and self-locking nuts to ensure maximum safety.
Conclusion
After careful reassembly and a successful test run on the dynamometer, the TDM 900 performed flawlessly during the road test. The motorcycle is now in excellent technical condition and ready for many more reliable miles on the road.
