Overhaul of a Brembo brake caliper (38 mm), identical to the one fitted on the single-disc brake system of the BMW R80 G/S

Analysis / Initial Condition

The brake caliper had been in use for many years, and the overhaul came at just the right time. There were no functional issues, but early signs of wear were noticeable.

Work / Actions Taken

The brake caliper was completely disassembled and cleaned. All seals and gaskets were replaced, and the caliper was tested for leaks. As standard in our Brembo overhauls, we also installed a Stahlbus bleed valve for fast and clean bleeding.

Conclusion

A fully overhauled brake caliper, ready for many more kilometers, whether on asphalt or off-road adventure terrain.
